**Hmm, I am pretty sure that I attached the picture, but then there
was an error with an e-mail address, and when gmail came back to tell
me about this error, I didn't realize the attachment had been removed
(good old HTML Gmail on Dial-Up internet).
Attempt #2. :-)
Merry Christmas (in Marshallese Mede Kurimoj) from the Marshall
Islands. We've started celebrating on this side of the dateline.
Hope you all have a wonderful day!
Love,
Christi, TC, and Iji
PS We went sailing this past weekend and tried to get a tropical
Christmas picture - unfortunately, one of the antlers was broken
during the trip to the boat. Oh well. It was nearing Iji's naptime,
so he isn't too smiley, but this one turned out the best of the bunch.

Surf Pictures #5 Plus Fishing
November 20, 2010
It was a rainy day. We hung out at Katiej Island. There Elli climbed the mast with the hopes of fixing our wind indicator - it was slightly off. It was also a laundry day (since we had so much water). Plus, Paul, Geoff, Timo, and Elli went out fishing.

Our laundry is at the bottom of the mast, Elli is at the top. |
Time to fish! |
Another colorful boat |
And they bring back a fish! |

The sun was out, the wind was down, so we were back out to look for waves. We found them.
That wave is big! |
I just love the color of the water! Doesn't Paul look small compared to the wave? |

Yikes! |
This was their scenery while surfing. Pretty huh? |

TC crouches down to try and get in the barrel. |
I love the island and the birds. |

Yikes, he gets crushed. |
Pretty water again. The guy isn't too bad looking either. :-) |

Uh oh! |
Geoff and I in the wave - I had gotten in with the little video camera to try and get video. |

Me swimming back to the boat - looking like a fish. Thanks TC. |
Like the little camera in my hand? We meant to install it on the board, but never got around to it. |
Surf Pics #4 (even I am up on a board)
November 19, 2010
We started the day at one pass, then after Elli and I tried surfing there (where the waves were relativel small, but still scary to us), we headed to the pass with the waves for the big boys. We ended the day at yet another pass, where Geoff and I actually stood up on a wave. Yahoo!
Elli and I attempt to surf. |
I am paddling hard, but still don't catch it - partly because I won't commit to the actually wanting to catch the wave. |
Next pass, here is Paul - looks like he could get a barrel. |
Uh oh, it's closing . . . |
Ouch! Can you see him? |
Timo gets his hand in the wave. |

Paul decides to go goofy. :-) |
TC with a pretty curl around him. |

The next three photos were a close tie for photo of the day. |
He just got tucked in. |
I like the white war paint on his face (sunscreen). |
Paul then switched to his longboard. |
This is at our third pass of the day. Geoff gets a little wave! |
Timo looks tough! |
Having fun, playing in the waves. |
Yay! I am actually standing. |
And again, I am up! |
I love how each canoe is different. |
