Photos from the SW side of Jaluit - Mejiruriku Island

Pictures from the southwest side of Jaluit Atoll.  We anchored near Mejiruriku Island and were almost surrounded by reef, which made for pretty pictures, as well as a scenic location for using the stand up paddle (SUP) board.  All these pictures are from Day 1 and Day 2.

Like I said, the picture doesn't do the beauty of the SW Pass of Jaluit justice  - at all.

TC grabbed the starfish for me.

He threatened to eat it.

The stunningly beautiful jelly fish - again, the photo doesn't do it justice.

Our first morning at our new anchorage - jumping for peace!

TC and Paul went out to catch surf, but caught a rainbow runner instead.  A decent consolation prize since we were running low on fish.

TC with his ametoma necklace (and the tidal lake behind him) on Mejiruriku Island.

Jumping with our new friends on Mejiruriku.

One families electricity source.  It powers their radio.

As we were leaving, two families presented us with all the coconuts we could drink.  I had to make sure to get a picture once we were back on Cherokee.
